Save the Elephants is a non-profit organisation founded in 1993 by Iain Douglas-Hamilton. Its main goals are to ensure elephants do not become extinct and to protect their natural habitats. Save the Elephants focuses on three important areas: protection, research, and awareness. It works to stop the illegal hunting of elephants, especially in Africa and Asia. The organisation also collaborates with scientists to study elephant behaviour, helping improve efforts to protect them. In addition, it raises public awareness through films, TV programmes, and online media. So far, Save the Elephants has supported 335 projects in 40 countries. Its efforts have made a big impact in protecting elephant populations and educating people about the importance of wildlife conservation.
