Save the Elephants is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting African elephants and their habitatst It was started in 1993 by Dr. Iain Douglas-Hamilton. The group works to stop people from killing elephants, cutting down forests, and doing things that hurt elephants.They do research to understand elephants better and find ways to keep them safe. They also work with people who live near elephants, teaching them how to live peacefully with the animals and take care of the environment.One of their big ideas is using GPS to follow where elephants go. This helps stop people from hunting them. Thanks to their work, fewer elephants are being killed.So far, they have done 335 projects in 40 countries and helped protect thousands of elephants around the world.
